When using a high speed centrifuge you notice that you are occasionally losing sample volume. Depending on the rotor you are using double check for the presence of or absence of the required lid O-rings. If they are present make sure they aren’t twisted or cracked, if so replace them. If they are still intact but dry then remove them and apply a very thin film of silicone vacuum grease and reinstall then without rolling them into place. Hold, stretch and snap gently into place. This will ensure a complete vacuum seal and prevent sample loss.
